experience on running 37 12.5 16.5 goodyear radial mt

I've had mine for a little over 2 years. I put 18k miles on them so far. They're starting to get thin on tread but still get me around the woods and creek where I like to play. I'm going to get a "new" set off Ebay one of these days. I kept dreaming about some fancy tires like boggers but...

    Engine Mount Fitment Issue

Same thing happened to me when I ordered mounts from RockAuto. I drilled out the rivets on both sets of mounts put the new rubber in the old clams shells. Been like that for 2 years now

Is a dual radiator cooling fan really that helpful ??

Clutch fan will outflow any electric fan that would fit. For a CUCV that's the best way to go IMHO. Electric fans are used on new trucks solely for emissions / efficiency reasons. I've used them in the past on hot rods where throttle response was important. Doesn't really matter on the old 6.2

    Turbo related question

I made an air intake out of PVC pipe from hardware store and stuck a K&N filter on the end. The CDR valve I moved behind the intake where the OE 6.5 fuel filter used to be. I ran the outlet of the CDR in front of the turbo.

    Lope at idle

I did a few searches and read that I can use clear vinyl hose and put on the pump return fitting. Maybe I'll try that see if I got any bubbles.

    Lope at idle

My 08 always had a little lope to the idle when fully warmed up. I recently had the left head off to replace a piston and rod. I added a GM5 turbo at the same time. Replaced the IP and all 8 injectors from Taylor Diesel. The truck runs better than ever but the idle lope it still there. I...

Quick video of the boost gauge

Wow that seems high. I think with the comp ratio of the 6.2 I'll leave it at 7psi (I say that now)

    M1009 turbo build

Get ready for a surprise! You won't believe how much better it runs with the turbo :)

    M1009 turbo build

Pyrometer and cheap usually don't go together. I got my VDO from Summitracing. It was the cheapest one I could find that came with the gauge and the probe in one kit p/n 310153

Quick video of the boost gauge

Good question! It's a GM5 turbo on a 6.2 with an EBay wastegate actuator. I have it set to 7psi. Not sure what boost the 6.5T maxed at.

Quick video of the boost gauge

    It's very satisfying to watch :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4pMsa1kHW0&feature=youtube_gdata_player

    6.2 tps question

It does. Take the vacuum valve off the IP and bolt the TPS on. The TPS is slotted so you will have to adjust it depending on which controller you get. I got mine from RockAuto. The silly thing was $100+ but it's all worth it for the overdrive :)

What is the current draw of the glow plugs?

I'll amp clamp mine when I get home. I did the "12v bypass" and I will tell you that the 12v supply wire gets HOT while the GP's are on. I too have been thinking about running a heavier gauge cable for the 12v bus....

    6.2T remote-mount CDR valve

I had been running a "road tube" or "draft tube" for my crankcase vent. What a mess. Not only does the engine leak more as I add boost it STINKS. I don't mind a little smoke or dribbles but this make a great mosquito fogger! I played around with a few ideas on how to mount the CDR on my...

    Good source for inner fender?

I chopped up my RF inner fender to accomodate the turbo downpipe. I cut out a lot more than was needed so I could fab the exhaust. The inner fender was really rusty anyway. Now that I'm finishing up I wanted to add some flashing to keep the mud and snow out. I think it would be easier to...

    Fuel heater question

At what point does a fuel heater become neccessary? How would one know when the fuel has gelled? My truck has always been reliable. I recently replaced the IP and 8 injectors when I installed the GM5 turbo assy. Of course the truck drives much differently. I'm just trying to get an idea of...
