6.2 Starter Differences.

Hey Buddy !! No This came from Buster, 67_SS396's Blazer. I have your motor in my rock crawler !! I figured out why they stopped driving the red dually though ! The drvers side head was cracked !! I have the starter off the civy motor on the cucv, I just can't get any luck on these motors ... -

Starter problem on my 6.2.
I used a manual switch, and give a 10 one thousand count. I have a 12 v starter on it now, I'll try the starter bolts and see if the Doghead mod is needed as well. Thank You -

No This has been a 12 volt system for a while. It was converted and was wired as 12. -

Starter problem on my 6.2.
It was a 454. I do know that I seen something similar to what's being replacing with the Doghead Mod under the dash of my truck. I'll look to make 100% sure. Also what's wierd is this starter had no shims and has started this motor for years ?? Have no clue why this happened. -

What has your 6.2 pulled ? MPG's ??
Very cool ! Keep'um coming !! Yes I have a 4L80 and it had a 14 FF in the rear but I found a super deal on a dually 1 ton so I converted mine from a srw to drw. I was/am hoping for a lot better MPG out of this motor than the 454 it replaced ! -
