Hello All;
I'm looking to trade out the tires on the M1102.
I was hoping someone would know the bolt pattern size so I can swap out
tires (rim) so I can match the tow vechicle better (Hummer H2) so I can a a single
spare for both.
Thanks:-D
Jim
Okay here's a couple of photos of the lunette. It doesn't look like its welded
it just looks like I'll need the 16# sledge (right):shock:
I'll pick up some spaces and flat washer and attack it this weekend.
Thanks for all you advise and I'll keep all posted with photos when (not If) I
get in...
Haven't had the chance to fight with it again. but will post some photos tonight of the offending lunette (I'm concerned that it might be welded in place, and would like you all to take a look at let some close up photos me know what you think.
Thanks
Jim
PS I got out the 16# BFH just in case...
taking a break from it now.
I tried heat (used a map gas torch) beat on while hot jumped on it with pry bar
next I think I'll hook it to the 3500 dodge and pull it around for while
Got the biggest pry bar I could find about 8' long 2x2 steel bar
It still wont budge, even with my 200# hanging off the end:(
Haven't tried heast yet because I'm in Phoenix AZ area and the though its only
9am the trailer is hot as is the pry bar.
Good Morning;
As the title says the Crown nut came right off with a little gentle tap or 2 with a
mini sledge and very large wrench.
But what does it take now to get the lunette to come out?:shock:
Thanks
Jim
Hi all
Going to flip the Lunette on the M105a2 I picked up last week.
(see prior post)
Before I attempt it I'm getting some conflicting info on the thread of the nut.
Is it a right hand or left hand thread?
righty tighty
or
righty loosy
I'd hate to go beating, heating, and cursing it...
From reading stories of other members' recoveries everyone seemed to think that it would reduce wind resistance while towing down the highway. It also provided a great platform for mounting the magnetic lights in the bed of the trailer.
First let me thank you all for all the information everyone posted about recovering the M105a2 series trailer. Your information gave me the confidence that this could and should be done.
Here's what occurred:
Won a GL auction 3-29-12
Submitted EUC 4-2-12
Approval and notification...
How many straps to hold down a m105a2 on hauler?
Hi again;
I guess the M105 will fit on the car hauler from previous post.
Now.....how many and what types straps/chains should I use
to secure the M105 to the hauler?
Any advise would be appreciated :lol:

Hi all;
Just got my EUC approval for M105A2.
Was planning on towing it home about 120 miles but might like the option
of putting it on a flatbed until I have better chance to go over it.
Question is will it fit on a standard car hauler? What are the outside dimensions
of the wheels?
Thanks...
Hi everyone;
Been lurking for here for awhile. And won a GL auction for a M105A2.
Waiting for the EUC to go through.
In the mean time planning for the recovery trip. Phoenix to Tucson about
120 mile trip one way.
Have a basic tool kit to take with in addition to some items mentioned on the...
