M151 Found in a Pull your own parts Yard

From what I could tell yeah. The floor pans were rusted through in a few spots as were a few places on the side of the tub., but otherwise in one piece. From the way it was sitting, didn't have the access and couldn't tell if it was a reweld.

M151 Found in a Pull your own parts Yard

Went today to the local pull your own parts junkyard looking for parts for a non-military truck of mine. While wandering around the yard I rounded a corner and staring at me was an M151. Was really surprised to see it. It's NOT an A2. Rear suspension is mostly gone. Front seemed more or less...

    Cucv door markings

That letter code was your unit's Unit Identification Code. Every unit in the Army has one. It uniquely identifies that particular unit. A few units I was in we stenciled them on the vehicles, and I've seen other units do that too.

    Cucv door markings

Nope, sorry I don't have any photos of the stencil. Or at least, none that you can clearly see what it is. BUt, it was a Nikon F5 camera in front of the infantry crossed muskets.

    Just won a M1010

Mckoen... Congrats on the truck. It looks pretty complete. And going by the images you posted in this thread and one of the other threads, you do indeed have the passenger side upper litter. The bench seat cushions/ frame they sit on in back are actually the upper litters. There are fold up...

    Cucv door markings

It's really up to you as far as what sorts of markings you want to use. As far as official markings, I've seen trucks with U.S. Army and For Official Use Only underneath. I've seen others with chevrons painted on the doors, mostly from Desert Storm, though a few woodland or plain green ones...

    M1010 Belt Question

Can someone tell me the correct part numbers for the v-belts on an M1010? I need to replace the ones on mine and the numbers have all worn off. I'd rather have to spend an hour matching up belts at the auto parts store. Thanks, Jon

Question about Engine Swaps on the M715

I have a '68 M715 with an engine that's pretty much shot. I'd like to swap it out for a diesel. I know it has been done before, but does anybody have any tips or suggestions. What engine to use? What are the pitfalls of this sort of swap? What sort of expense are we talking about? Thanks... Jon
