I was cutting a branch stub off a trunk log and I was inspired to make an art piece base out of it. I recut it on my new bandsaw to make the surfaces parallel. I then scraped the bark off and sanded it down. It is from the Live Oak tree that was cut down in July.
A local couple came and got a trailer load tonight after work. They sell firewood as a 2nd job to support a growing family. A win for both of us. I saved $500 in debris removal and they get nice firewood.
I've been busy with personal projects including getting my M923 ready to sell. Finally got it posted on Facebook Marketplace . So far 1200 hits on the listing in a day and a half. I'm asking $17k for it with A/C components included.
Now that I have it posted I hope to get back to working on...
Made some progress on the cedar box. Made the lid and clear coated the project. Installed the hinges and made some side handles. Installed the side handles and lid support strap.
Burned some leaves and debris from the area I cleared last week. Cut up some small saplings growing randomly in the yard and burned them today. Keeping busy doing random tasks in the shop and outside.

The wood has been sitting for 20 years. Should be dry enough that it does not need venting. I am not going to cover the ground under the stack. It will only invite water to sit in puddles . For the time being it will have to sit covered. I ordered a trucker vinyl cargo tarp that is 18oz...
