    Over heating on deuce

In addition to that, if the water is not kept in the motor by the thermostat, it cannot carry away the heat the motor makes. I agree with Jason completely false. Im an ASE certifed mechanic , I live in Florida , and have yet to ever see one vehical overheat due to not having a thermostat.

    how to remove rear drum?

They are the 8 bolts in the center of the axle, you can see them with the tire on the truck. Pull out the axle then you will have access to the 3" nut that is holding the drum on . They make two different sockets in a 3" and again going off memory I believe you need the 8 sided socket.

    injection pump going bad?

Air filter is fairly clean. If I take fuel pressure readings on the motor and they are low, then this would mean that I need to rebuild the injection pump, correct? Can I rebuild the injection pump myself or does it require hard parts? As for pressure 85psi seems low, shouldnt a diesel have...

    injection pump going bad?

1968 M35a2 non turbo I read here about how to turn up the fuel on the injection pump. I noticed on my truck that someone has already maxed it out. The only thing is that my truck doesnt smoke at all. Does this mean that my injection pump is worn out and its not supplying enough fuel? It runs...

    M35a2 A/C system

Everything is dirty and messy right now because I wasnt even sure this was going to work, so I didnt bother cleaning up the junkyard parts. Since everything is up and working great I will clean up the engine compartment next week and replace the reciever dryer with a new one. Most of the parts...

    M35a2 A/C system

I just bought my first M35a2 a few months ago and turns out it needed a lot more work than I had originaly thought. I dont think the last guy did anything to it because it basically needed everything. Fuel filters were so clogged I cant even believe it was running. Master cylinder had no fluid...

    Adding a turbo question

Just bought my first 1968 M35a2 mutlifuel truck a month ago and I have ran into a few questions that I havent been able to find. The last owner said originally the truck was a turbo model, then in 1989 the military rebuilt most of the truck and the turbo was taken off. I believe this to be true...

    Front inner axle seal

So is the seal the only thing Im knocking out? Its blocked by metal which the axle shaft washer rides against. Is the seal seperate from the metal or is it supposed to be all one piece? No I dont have the inner seals yet

    Front inner axle seal

I didnt see any seams in the metal, it looks as if everything is one part. The seal inside is also flopping around it can be pushed back and forth, so Im not sure if thats normal For the slide hammer method i dont have to pull the 3rd member out?

    Front inner axle seal

I had a bearing go bad on my front axle and plan on replacing the boot and seals. I currently have everything apart but cant figure out how to get the inner seal out of the axle housing, it almost seams as it would have to be pushed through the housing and come out where the 3rd member is. Ben
