Getting work done on the Deuce...

Thanks for the heads up, I'll look for them! The problem with doing things like this, is "where do I stop???" lol If it wasn't for my wife threatening to cut my manhood off, I would just keep it in a shop and have them do about a billion dollars worth of work. Thankfully, since I only bought...

Getting work done on the Deuce...

So, with the weather breaking, I'm planning on taking my truck to a shop to flip the hubs and install singles all around. I'll be taking it to a truck shop that has the facility and tools to do it. My question is, if you were going to take your truck to a reputable truck shop to do this, what...

    Got My First Deuce!!!

Congrats on the new ride!!! Unless there is a quick fix for the wipers, I would just as soon replace them. People have been messing with my truck for over 40 years, but if I start putting some new parts on this truck, at least I'll have the peace of mind of knowing what has been replaced in this...

    Got My First Deuce!!!

Thanks for the info guys! Yes, truck has NDT's. I know they are crap in the snow - they don't even look like they would do well. I plan on singling the tires soon. I did take the truck out, but waited for the snow to melt off the roads. Hopefully the pic uploads ok, I've never had to do it before.

    Got My First Deuce!!!

Thanks for the info guys! You were right, all i had to do was open that knob pretty far and try to work them manually. Scared the crap out of me when the one one finally took off, I've never seen a wiper go so fast! Also, it seem like there is some resistance in the passenger side motor...

    Got My First Deuce!!!

I've been wanting one for a long time, and have been lurking these pages almost everyday, 1/2 of it was to learn more about them, but the rest was just to drool. Finally bought my first one and thankfully, made a 5 hour drive home with it with no issues. I was actually surprised, that I was able...

    Buying out of state...

Yes, currently registered in VA. But if I like it, I would want to transfer it into my name and drive it home. all of this would have to be done in VA before making the trip, and while some may think this was a dumb question, I just never purchsed a vehicle in Virginia and didn't know how to do...

    Buying out of state...

Well that's pretty much what I was trying to avoid. It'll take about 5 hours to get there, so I was hoping to only do the trip once. Just didn't know if someone had dealt with this before. If I can't drive it home, then I'm gonna end up spending a ton on shipping, or have to make the long drive...

    Buying out of state...

So I have a lead on a deuce. I live in PA but the truck is in VA. Driving it home would obviously be the easiest thing to do. Here's the problem: In PA, titles get transferred at a Notary, and they will issue a plate, or, temporary tag, etc. and you're good to go. I'm being told that in VA you...
