    Undercoating

Instead of under coating... look into “Fluid Film”. It does a great job!

My "Go anywhere" M1010 mobile office/camper build.

Yesterday I stripped the 30+ year old weatherstrip off the rear doors. It took 4 packages of new weatherstrip to replace. Stripping the old adhesive off was a pain! The doors seal up nicely now!

My "Go anywhere" M1010 mobile office/camper build.

I’ve been lacking on updates. In mid April, I finished the driver’s side alternator bracket using a slightly modified d/s bracket from a M1008. Also changed the single v groove pulley to a double v groove pulley to allow for an a/c compressor (at a later date). Hera are some pictures.

    M1010 CUCV Cab/ Front AC

Mad Texan, I am definitely interested. I also would like a/c in the cab as well as in the box.

My "Go anywhere" M1010 mobile office/camper build.

Hello again! I’ve been working/tinkering on my ambulance. Engine rebuilt, turbo in place. Both alternators on driver’s side. I REALLY don’t like the setup of the alternators!!! Especially since there’s no place for the a/c compressor. So, I modified the stock M1010 alternator brackets to clear...

    Should I Turbo my 6.2L M1010

When the turbo was first installed, the odometer only showed 47,000 miles. So I only rebuilt the top end, and installed arb head studs. After about 200 miles, going up a hill... broke a ring, scored the cylinder wall, and trashed a head. Out came the engine, total rebuild. Would have been $$...

    Should I Turbo my 6.2L M1010

I did it to my M1010. Don’t forget to rebuild the bottom end at the same time. With only 54,000 miles on it, I didn’t.... and 200 miles later blew a ring. She’s back together, and built right... but would have been much cheaper to do it right to begin with.

    New gauges for my M1010

Chevymike, are you going to turbo this one? I turbo’d my M1010 with a banks. The alternators went on the driver’s side.

My "Go anywhere" M1010 mobile office/camper build.

It's been a while since I've updated on here... Got the Banks turbo installed, head studs, and pretty much rebuilt the top end. With so few miles on the odometer, I didn't think anything needed to be done to the bottom end of the motor.... Boy was I wrong!!!! She was pulling up and over the...

My "Go anywhere" M1010 mobile office/camper build.

235/85 R16. I'm not planning on going any bigger. One of these days, I'm hoping to swap transmissions to something that will help on the highway speeds. I just haven't figured out what will be my best option yet. Also, currently in the works is a Banks turbo.

My "Go anywhere" M1010 mobile office/camper build.

September 2017. I need a wider footprint. More stability. Turning around on the right of way can get pretty hairy on a slope in a top heavy vehicle!!! Time for it to be made into a dually! So, I took her back to Hillbilly Wizard for a 4" ORD shackle Flip and 1" zero rate's on the rear with new...

My "Go anywhere" M1010 mobile office/camper build.

By May 2017 I have realized that although my ambulance is almost as good as a mountain goat, I need something more than the stock front open differential for climbing these mountains off-road. So on a rain-out day, I went to see Hillbilly Wizard for some extensive work to my front end. And I...
