    MEP-804b no voltage/hz issue

I plan on testing it but I'm not sure I have anything that will put the set under a load. Can I plug anything 110 up to it? I have a 110 mig welder and air compressor which is about the only thing I have that may put a load on it.

    MEP-804b no voltage/hz issue

The ground fault circuit interrupter also was not working properly at first, would that also be a symptom of fail mode. Everything seems to be working as it should now. Thanks again

    MEP-804b no voltage/hz issue

Weirdest thing just happened. I went to barn to start troubleshooting set and I cranked it up and everything is working as it should. At first the undervoltage light was still on, I pressed the reset/test lights and the undervoltage light went of. This unit was just restored and now only has 6...

    MEP-804b no voltage/hz issue

I downloaded the TMs this morning and was looking them over. There is a schematic in there, I will have to look it over after work, everything else seems to function on here, just low voltage warning, and when plugging something like a grinder in it only runs at a quarter speed, so I know the...

1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

Sorry guys I haven't updated this in a while, unfortunately I have given up on the old girl. I sold her to a great guy in Florida that was planning a full restoration so I sent him both of mine. I have a couple of willys I have to get running right now and some day will get back on an M37. Last...

1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

That's where the new / rebuilt carburetor came from and I told them what was going on with the one I rebuilt and they were at a loss for what could be causing it as well, I usually try not to touch the throttle when trying to start, it still fires off ether without a problem, but quickly floods...

1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

Yes, it is very odd, one thing I just noticed today though is I'm not sure this engine is an mv, I tried taking the dipstick tube off my parts m37 and the 245 in the good m37 looks like it has a press on tube instead of the screw in, I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with it not...

1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

Sorry, I haven't updated the post, I have just about pretty much given up on the m37, I have a friend that keeps saying he's going to come look at it but hasn't and he's a mechanic for Alabama Power and works on diesel and carbureted engines day in and day out, I was hoping he could figure it...

1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

Thanks, I'll take all the help I can get, a friend of mine has another m37 that I went to look at today to see where everything goes under the hood, but it had the biggest rats nest I have ever seen under the hood so I couldn't see exactly where the vacuum lines go, I know one goes to the wipers...

1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

The flooding is from 2 different carbs all together, different top covers and all, I have not tried starting it without the top cover mostly because I don't how anyone to help, I thought about it once to try bit wasn't sure with the accelerator pump staying in the top of it would work

1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

Just got the carb back from a mechanic today, he said he couldn't find anything wrong with the carb, said it might be better to put a carb on where you can control the accelerator pump with your foot instead of vacuum, I removed the electric fuel pump and put the manual factory pump back on this...

1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

Yes the old carb and the new rebuilt carb looked like that, I did fool with it again yesterday and it is still flooding even with only a quarter inch of gas in the bottom of the bowl with the fuel pump not on. I found someone local that thinks he can figure it out, he's an old timer so maybe he...

1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

so today i took the top off of the carb to check the float level and just as bert suspected it was way high, the float was almost level with the top of the bowl, but i am still having trouble lowering it, i drained gas out of the bowl and adjusted the float, turned the fuel pump on and filled...

1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

I pulled the carb off the manifold before removing the top, the gas seemed correct but the bowl gasket was wet all around with gas, not necessarily soaking wet but visibly wet.

1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

Finally got a little time with it today. I checked under the plunger and the check ball is in the correct location and I checked the spring and it looked correct as well, I set the float a little lower and tried it and still flooding. Here are a couple of pictures just for verification. Man I...

1953 M37 Carb Flooding. Assistance needed.

I will check both tomorrow, I'm not opposed to sending you my carburetor and letting you look it over! I'd pay well! It's just hard for me to conceive that I'm having the same trouble with 2 different carbs rebuilt by 2 different people, it's just killing me that I can't figure out one of the...
