    2800 miles in a M923 1400 towing a M820A2

Yeah I might try that again. Used to cars. I will try it but have to plan for the worse.

    2800 miles in a M923 1400 towing a M820A2

I agree with you. Although I took great efforts to use alternate roads. In fact I had open roads with almost no one for 98% of the trip. But the 2% is still a percent.

    2800 miles in a M923 1400 towing a M820A2

So this trip was pretty stupid from the start, I should have never attempted this. I was somewhat motivated by some of the stories of people having success with towing M923's with M923's, so I figured I should be alright. Granted pulling 27000-29000 pounds with a 22,000 pound truck is never that...

    M923A2 Recovery 2000 miles

Alright tons of threads on the problem. Basically I was driving in the mountains and I smelled burning coming from the truck. I didnt see smoke or any other problems and the smell went away. So I drove on; I later noticed the voltage gauge right on the line of overchargeing and normal and got...

Alright made it to Washington state with only 1 problem. But will start a repair thread in the 5 ton section. But once I get to a computer I will upload some movies and pictures along the way with the story. Took 3 days total.

    M923A2 Recovery 2000 miles

I actually have alot of that stuff already at work that I can "borrow" for a bit. I work mostly with Electronics and Micro Miniture stuff. I used to work on Nato SeaSparrow launchers in the navy, which has alot of hydraulics, pressured air waveguides, electronics, and plumbing (believe it or...

    M923A2 Recovery 2000 miles

So I got one of the M923A2's in Sparta, granted as you can tell I am currently stationed in Hawaii. So I will be flying to LaCrosse, to meet some friends to take me to my new toy. The idea was to pick up some of my parents stuff in their old house then bring it to Snohomish, WA. Should be an...

    Hello From Hawaii!

Now that doesn't inspire alot of confidence for my truck. LOL hopefully I will make the trip. What would you recommend that I check before I drive that long ways away?

    Hello From Hawaii!

Wow had no idea, might actually like to talk to the guys that have the M923's to ask about some of the maintenance and common problems. And get familiar with the vehicle before I go pick mine up.

Actually nice area, of all the places I have lived I think I like the Northwest the best.

    Hello From Hawaii!

Actually my brothers will be using/restoring some of the truck. There is rust on the back bumper but appears to be no where else. I am from Snohomish, WA. @Hasson1911: Thanks for the advice I think I will give him a call once I get the registration and insurance settled out.

    Hello From Hawaii!

Actually I rotate out in about a year, so its going to stay on my parents land. It will be a sad day to leave her in Washington, but makes coming back home on leave all that much sweeter. Plus I would hate to pay for the gas for that monster in Hawaii. WAY more expensive out here.

    Hello From Hawaii!

Hey guys; Active duty but got the bug and bought a M923A2, haven't picked it up, but will be a drive from Wisconsin to Washington state. Many different reasons I bought in Wi, mostly because my brother wanted to do a road trip with me, and also because my parents have stuff they need picked...

    Suggestions on buying a M934A2?

Thanks for the offer, but I really like the CTIS and Automatic, granted I can drive the manual. Also the I like the larger tires as well. It seems that the auctions might give an overall better price because your trucks are amazingly clean. Plus I am in no hurry to get one, if I get a great...
