Thanks. let me see if that can be done with a cab on....
My next Question is a Wiring Diagram for the Gen 1 (smaller) A/C Dash unit....anybody have one? Found the one on Post #134 - Looking at the diagram of the heater and the harness both have compressor clutch connectors which one do we use...
I bought a tiny part of Gov Planet for my HMMWV. basically its a light control panel and weights less than a pound.
The Gov Planet certified shipper gave me a shipping estimate of $250 - yes for this one single part.
I bought many vehicles from the site in the past and used large shippers fro...
OK...well sorry to keep hounding the board. I hope these questions will help others along the way. This is the first A/C install fro my Dad and I and we are close to being done.
So here is my next question:How is the Dryer Compressor mounted?
Getting close to finishing.
My the latest issue is the routing of high pressure line.
How would you route the high-pressure line from the compressor to the condenser?
Photos would be great!!
Thanks in Advance
Many thanks! This will save me a lot of time.
I will see about finding some shimms...
Immediately I thought of another question....I have the 3116 engine, so I am guessing you mean I need shimms for the bracket on my 3116 engine?
While installing an A/C (all parts included kit) set up for an LMTV, I have gone this far and the tensioner pulley is not sitting right. Not sure what I did wrong. It seems to be too short. Any ideas? Photos attached. Thanks in advance!
Make sure you don't seal off the glad-hands too tightly, they are supposed to leak a little bit. If they are completely sealed, your brakes will lock up and you are not going anywhere. Learned that the hard way and from one of those comic book style maintenance bulletins...
I have one of those cabs. Ended up stripping it, as it was missing the doors. What did cross my mind at one point though was to use an FMTV dumpster, put a HIMARS cab on it...do you see where I am going? Yeah, a Himars clone/mock up. Now that would be a one of a kind.
I have both trucks. The LVAD is the same as the MTV, with a different cab and different set up to lower the spare (kind of a small crane), which is also used to fit the top of the cab. Thats it. My LVAD even has a winch. I would think the A/C set up would be the same for any of the trucks, just...
I only use my a couple times per year. In this case, your best bet is to get a one trip permit at the DMV. it covers round trips and is only $20. usually they hand it to you blank.
Question: On a CAT II Caiman Mrap with a CAT C9 engine, would the CAT ECM/ECU for a "C9" engine work on this truck of is there something different about the one for the MRAP? We have a CAIMAN without an ECU.
Thanks in advance
What kind of steel was used on the earlier FMTV armor kits? It's definitely steel. I suppose if nobody knows, then what would be the best combination of strength vs. weight when choosing steel? I am recreating a few panels and I want them to be functionally accurate as well as provide the look...
I am quite sure one of the TM's has a section on how to change the cab on an FMTV. I just cannot find it after pouring though many of the TM's. Does anybody know what TM has this information?
Thanks in advance!
If anybody wants some of the AC units, I still have 4 or 5 from last year, when I bought them for the LTAS and MRAP. These are extras and brand new and fit as a direct replacement in the FMTV/LMTV
