Does anyone know where I can find a flywheel housing for the M915a2. I think it is pretty generic on the 60 Series Detroit but I wasn't sure if it different since it meshes up with the Allison tranny instead of a Fuller or Eaton transmission?

My 915a2 gets 5.5 pulling a load 40k. It only does about 1-2 mpg better if I am empty. Does anyone know if I could replace the Allison HT740 with one of the 16 speed trannys

Does anyone know where I could pickup the forward rear axle assembly for the m915a2...I thought I just needed to replace the axle seal but the axle spine sheered so I think the whole thing is toast...
Has anyone put a PTO on a M915a2 ? I was looking at the access point on the tranny and it doesn't look like there is enough room without moving the battery box and a bunch or other accessories
I see this is an old thread but I was curious...I have an M915a2 that I have been using commercially. I was on the turnpike and was passed by another M915 he must have been doing 70 an active duty towing equipment. My M915a2 does 58 @ 2150 so I would have to get a new rear end to get more...

I have an M915A2 and have been using it commercially. Recently the Allison HT740 transmission does not want to upshift out of 1st if I am on level ground it will finally shift and then it shifts through the gears fine...if I am on a grade at all it just stays in first. I have used Dexron...
