Does this sweet M813A1 RV belong to a member?

Check out how far the rear budd wheels are. Do you think it has the hubs flipped and is still dualled? Rick

    Flexplate rubs original starter

Is your torque converter studded or does it have bolts pass rearwards through the flex plate into threaded holes in the converter? Rick

    Newbie from the North

Hello from South Carolina. This is the best bunch of people I know. Well, it's the only buncha people I know. Well, I don't really know them.... Anyway, welcome aboard! Rick

    SEE Cab Tilting

Wow, those look complicated! I had a factory set for the cargo truck 416 that were simple pieces of flat steel that raised the hinge point about three inches. Sorry but I don't have them, they sold on Ebay a few years back, otherwise I'd share them with you. Rick

    R.I.P.--73M819--Ron Harris

This was a perfect way for me to contribute to the remembrance of this man. I am pretty sure only a few of you know that Ron did the recovery and delivery preparation of the very first HETT to be successfully imported into Australia. The first and only thus far! During the purchase, EUC...

    Temperature guage problem

I thought I'd follow up on this thread after "fixing" the issue. The best reason I can give as to why the temp gauge now works is that I touched everything. I had replacement sensors and gauges fitted, then went back to my original pieces and voila! Probably I had missed a cruddy connection...

    Knuckle Boom Crane on M35A2C

Notice: Thread resurrection! I'm jumping onboard this thread 12 years later 'cause I'm considering adding a Hiab K-boom to my truck. This is not a definite project, even though I already have the crane (Hiab 174) and have fitted a transfer case PTO. I'm needing a whole bunch of assistance with...

    Temperature guage problem

Guy, thanks for all the manufacturer and physical data on the parts. At this moment, I don't think that info is of use to me. I have learned in the past that gauges can be surprisingly complex inside. Often gauges are built with internal circuitry to make them deflect slowly, sit in one position...

    Temperature guage problem

Thanks for the suggestion, I have converted other vehicles to the capillary units, and yes, they operate much more in real time than factory gauges. I'm actually not too worried about the temp readings. I have owned this truck for years and am accustomed to operating it without this...

    Temperature guage problem

Sender is 6685-00-814-5271 Gauge is 6685-936-2139 Thank you, Rick

    Temperature guage problem

Thread resurrection warning. I have the same symptoms and results that the OP experienced. In addition I have confirmed a good ground path (.3 ohm) between the manifold ground next to the sender, to the battery, the dash plate and the body of the temperature gauge. Grounds all check out...

Do I have a problem, or not?

As others have confirmed, the black fluid is corroded bits of cast iron in suspension and a rigorous flushing will clear it. You may have to remove the radiator for individual disassembly and cleaning if your flushing routine does not completely solve the issue, Rick

My M135 and a Diamond T 5 ton package purchase

Dude! You scored! Of course, the purchase price is just the entry fee. The real expenses are ahead. Congratulations, and thanks for posting! Rick

    Chevy 4x4 Dump (K30) Recovered

Kenny, I thought you had a rusty ole wrecker as well? I didn't see in in the yard line up so I thought I'd ask. Rick

Looking to customize my shifter knob if possible?

I think you could use a modified hand grenade, with a clever reworking of the side lever on the grenade to operate the shift button shaft. But you will have to drive it with the pin pulled...... Rick

    M216 Cdn Australian restoration

Daugh, that color!!! Nice platform truck, but fuchsia??? Rick

    EUC denied......?

I consider the process to be a paper trail that our government can use, to trace the asset via reliable sources (us citizens!). Rick
