CTIS 5 flashing lights, no air leaks, no mechanical faults.

Okay I have read all the threads and done some testing on my CTIS and this is where I am at. When pressure reaches 120 I hear noise from the pcu air dumps out of the front and rear exhaust valves and then the infamous 5 flashing lights. I can hear a small amount of air always exhausting from the...

CTIS 5 flashing lights, no air leaks, no mechanical faults.

Great thread and I don't mean to hijack it but wanted to ask a question about a similar issue on my 1989 M923a2. I've been working to get my CTIS to work and have removed all the schrader valves from the wheel valves and replaced a bad valve on one wheel. Now when I get the pressure built up I...

Brake light and buzzer staying on finally fixed

The control box looks like it had been replaced possibly when someone was chasing this problem when it was still in service. I'm guessing that box isn't cheap.

Brake light and buzzer staying on finally fixed

My brake light and buzzer would stay on with the parking brake released. I found the small micro switch in the parking brake bracket and after testing it found that it wasn't releasing. I had to take the switch apart which is riveted together. I cleaned the contacts and used small screws to...

Just got my first 5 Ton

All lights blink continuously and after reading threads I checked and found it has schrader valves placed in the back wheels. I still have more to read and learn about it but Im thinking the valves on the wheels must have leaked and someone put the schrader valves in them. I was going to look...

Just got my first 5 Ton

After reading that I went out and looked at my truck and noticed the left front is a goodyear and my spare is a goodyear so I think I can switch out the Mich XL with the spare as the spare looks pretty good. And I think my shut off solenoid is ok but I just have a low voltage due to some tired...

Thanks much I appreciate it this site is awesome and MuleMac01 I had no idea. That has me worried now. I will see what I can do. Only bad thing is two of the back tires I know have been partially flat at one point due to the CTIS.

That is good to know. I have the same exact problem. Transmission goes right to 270 while idling or driving. Sounds like I may need a gauge as well. Where did you get your gauge?

Just got my first 5 Ton

Hello to everyone. I just picked up a 1989 M923 A2 a few days ago. She reads 27,000 miles and is pretty complete from what I can see. Runs really well and only has a few minor issues. I've been learning a lot already from you guys on here and have so much more still to learn. Other then the...
