Cutting metal out of door frame

Well sounds like I need to just pick my feet up alittle bit higher and leave it alone.

Cutting metal out of door frame

One thing about getting in and out of truck a lot is that darn metal at bottom of door frame always seems to get in the way of my feet when stepping in. Has anyone cut that metal out so that its flush with the floorboard. Just wanted to throw it out there for some feedback. Anybody think it...

    Brakes won't release

I'll check it out, but it's the back brakes that are locking up. Of course since I've posted this haven't had any trouble since.

    Brakes won't release

Thanks to everyone for the replies. Working on the road and not being able to run out and check things you guys suggest until the weekend stinks but I guess that problem is for another post. Reading through the manuals you all suggested I had a random thought and wasn't sure so I thought I...

    Brakes won't release

Correct you are, suggestions as to the steps one might take to determine the problem would greatly be appreciated. Remember air brakes are not my strong point but I'm learning so explain in details, thanks a lot.

    Brakes won't release

Coffey1 did squirt some air tool oil in the air lines thinking it would push into the valve. I'll try this weekend taking the valve off completely and putting air tool oil directly in the valve, see it that helps. Thought about just replacing the valve at the parking brake if the oil doesn't...

Trailboss checked this weekend and no valve behind glad hand, forgot to check bobble headvent will check again this weekend. Drove the truck around some this week. No issues when using foot brake and even engaged the parking brake several times couldn't get it to duplicate the problem again...

    Brakes won't release

I have a 923A2, problem is the brakes are not releasing sometimes. I'll try and explain as much as I can about what and when it does it and hopefully someone can point me to a link, manual page, or give me some guidance to troubleshoot. First time it happened was this winter when I went and...

    Adding PTO to 923A2

So after hours of reading, asking questions and help from other members I got the hotshift PTO installed on the truck. A big thanks to those that have helped. What I have learned I will pass on maybe it will help someone in the future. Let me throw out a disclaimer since I didn't install the...

    Adding PTO to 923A2

That is leaning towards my theory of the a2 pto difference. I believe either of the 2 pto's in the fig above will work. If you look at Chelsea part list for 221x is like all military stores sell and fig 530 above. The 221r is for special housing which matches fig 529, like the pto Gunzy said...

    Adding PTO to 923A2

So according to the manual TM 9-2320-272-24P-2 fig 529 (sorry don't know how to post link to take you directly to the page) shows transmission PTO specifically for an A2. Same manual next fig 530 shows transmission PTO, assume for all other 900 series. The NSN numbers are different under the...

    Adding PTO to 923A2

Has anybody installed the Chelsea PTO that gimpyrobb has pictured. I know that this is the correct one but I ask because I was told you would have to make the existing notch in the frame even larger. I know to slide the transmission etc to get it installed but you need to notch more of the...

    Adding PTO to 923A2

Yeah knew it was going to be a pain and that is saying it politely. Gunzy I agree that's what I have heard also that the trans needs to be shifted to the drivers side pto installed and then slide back. The Hot shift pto will definitely not work. I have everything from a 925...

    Adding PTO to 923A2

I think they are going to take it back for credit which I will use towards the mechanical PTO, if not I'll shoot you a PM.

    M925A2 air seat installation?

I also did the same thing as Floridianson. I picked up the Tee at a local truck center connected it to the rear air line also like in his picture and have had no problems either.

    Technically...it works! (dump bed)

That's exactly what I bought my 923A2 for. Mod it with a dump and add the knuckleboom. You have a really nice setup and did an awesome job. Now if I can just figure out a way to stay home, still get a paycheck so I can work on mine full time. NICE JOB!!!!
