You can find them in Belgium from time to time, for €5000 or less. Not worth importing from US. I sold mine (M1028 ) for 4500. Check out tweedehands.be or marktplaats.nl. In holland all oldtimers go cheap due to recent law/tax changes, so thats probably your best shot. I can only say "go for it"...
I'm pretty sure there are several people you've helped. you've gone through the effort of fabbing up stuff instead of just buy and bolt on, and you didn't do it in a hurry. One can allways disagree on used materials or looks, but that's what forums are for. I know how many hours and sleepless...
Is there a reason why everyone routes the snorkel on the outside? Wouldn't it be possible to let it surface behind the hood, in the area under the front window? Would be easier to make a height adjustable snorkel (hummer style)
Don't like the idea of pvc either, when it's freezing and you hit...

This is a dodge with an M105 bed. Neat idea. I've got an english arrows cargo trailer waiting to be cut up.
My mechanic, who has 20+ years of experience with these vehicles, tried it with the proper chevy puller, while hammering and pulling (and cursing)
Said this was the first time he didn't pull it off in less than a minute:razz:
I think I read a post here once about a glued on steering wheel, so I...
I tried hitting the shaft under tension, I have even been driving around with a steering wheel puller on it, soaked the shaft in WD40, and it won't come off.
Only thing I didn't do is heat it, but I'm affraid the surrounding plastic might melt. If parts here in Belgium weren't so expensive, I'd...
My steering lock cilinder is broke and the steering wheel won't come off.
( lock is in the run position) My mechanic broke his wheel puller and thinks there is some sort of superglue in it. Idea is to just leave it as it is and just put an extra key switch/pushbutton on the dashboard. Which...

Ain't that nice? Think it' an M105. Wonder if it would fit a 1028. Gap between cab and bed could be filled with a storage box o.s. If only they were available in europe:confused:
Guess I'll have to do it with my brittish arrows cargo trailer.
Has been done by guys on ck5(search for koffeecan filter)
Main reason is gaining airflow.
I am still searching for the best setup, (including a hummer style removable snorkel)
Has anyone tried relocating the overload spring on a m1028 to the middle of the pack? Since it is bent a lot more than the others i would presume it might work as an ad a leaf.
