    Airbags for genset mounts

And if it worked just leave the tire as the permanent mount?

    Airbags for genset mounts

@uniquify I thought about the plywood shield but hadn't tried it. I'll give it a shot to see what happens.... The tire is a heck of an idea....I hadn't thought about that! If that works, what are your thoughts then for mounting the generator?

    Airbags for genset mounts

Correct. So yes, when doing any sort of slow speed maneuvering, the corners of the deck on the trailer overlap with the truck (and some trickier terrain causes rubbing...), so the current center-line location is the only spot, as tested with a cardboard box, that doesn't risk crushing the...

    Airbags for genset mounts

Sorry for the delay on this: I can't stick it to one size or the other.....I wish I could, but the trailer tows incredibly well with the current tongue, but the current tongue is so short that with tight turns, the sides of the platform can actually go under the edges of the bed on the truck...

    Ini Power Remote/Auto Start

It's a remote pull starter? What's the max torque or engine hp size that it can pull? This inspires new ideas....how cool would it be to rig this up to a 3kw Honda Generator?! Anyways, I'm still trying to figure out how to quiet down/find airbags to dampen the vibrations and noise of my MEP 831A

    M939 CTIS Pneumatic Controller

I’m going to get into the PCU again. I’ve been into it once and didn’t get solid readings on two of the solenoids, but I was in a rush. The middle one was fine at 51. Wheel valves are all good minus one that’s had a known leak and the minute leak wasn’t causing an issue before.

    Airbags for genset mounts

That was basically the fallback idea- and thus I hadn’t welded the Pad eyes down- in case i would use them to secure the genset.

    Airbags for genset mounts

Haha thank you very much! 1. Lifting rings- they will likely be used again- however, for noise deadening- I attempted to put rubber under them, the rings around the generator (which used to make a TON of noise), and on a few other places. A little 4000 is removal if need be but secures...

    M939 CTIS Pneumatic Controller

I’ll go back through the guide but unfortunately hitting “run flat” was part of the regular routine because I’ve got one tire that likes to leak a bit..... I think this is now deeper down.

    Airbags for genset mounts

Fair enough! Here ya go! I didn’t have pics with the exhaust and all installed but it shouldn’t matter much for that. Currently the two pieces of channel are welded to the top of the platform- but only with a few tacks so they could be removed if necessary.

    Airbags for genset mounts

So despite everything people about them, I found a great use for a 989A1 Trailer! The big reveal was going to come this summer, but if you follow "The Eastern Shore Offroad Group" on Facebook, you can see pics of the build now. I took a 20' conex box, cut the floor out, and welded it down to...

    Airbags for genset mounts

hahaha this is cracking me up! Great minds think alike! Yes, I actually did try 1" rubber horse stall mat! I'm using that as flexmount for the motorcycle muffler successfully. I also tried mounting soft genset mounts onto horse stall mount and all of that on the trailer. The 831 is great, but...

    Airbags for genset mounts

Good Evening, I've tried bolting down with soft motor mounts, welding down, and double motor mounting an MEP-831 generator without much success in reducing noise.....the frame of my 11,000lb (empty weight) trailer is still making a racket. I hoping someone had an idea or access to small...

    CTIS controller leaking

Huh. Ok. I will go back and check. It seemed as if each solenoid had its own pair Of pins. I just deployed again a few days ago so this is going to have to wait until June when I get home :(

    CTIS controller leaking

Same as usual- it blows a shot of air which most comes out the relief valve on the manifold, and them it goes back to 5 lights. And yes, that’s using the “flat” override with highway

    CTIS controller leaking

So I didn’t plug the hole. I did use my finger screwing around with it but didn’t put a plug on it... So taking the whole manifold apart everything was very clean. Still getting 5 lights.....the fun begins I guess

    CTIS controller leaking

So very interesting- opened everything up and cleaned. Everything looked very clean inside, no evidence of grease/seal showing a blow out of any sort. Still didn’t find a plug of any sort for the plastic housing and I feel like it was supposed to have one. One solenoid showed 47 ohms- another...

    CTIS controller leaking

It seems my pneumatic valves in the cab may be leaking. The machine, sending its “test” shot of air, immediately blows it out a threaded 3/8” or 1/4” hole in the bottom of the plastic side of the body. I may have a few minute leaking by the front tires but I’ve never had a problem, if tires are...

    M939 CTIS Pneumatic Controller

So maybe you guys can help- 5 blinking lights on CTIS controller, sounds piss poorblowing air offin cab controller valves. I tried throwing a plug in the bottom air vent (bottom ofcab controller where it looks like it’s missing) and that went to four lights briefly and then back to five. I’ve...

    M939 CTIS Pneumatic Controller

Huh. That’s what I thought. Anything in the port in the bottom of the controller (if the black and yellow lines are on “top” facing you)? The port seems very clean and I don’t remember seeing it before- makes me wonder if there was a plug in it. It’s peeing the air out of it there.....
