Hi,
I'm looking at removing the entire winch assembly platform from my M1070 and was wondering if anyone knew what the total weight was? Thanks in advance.
Brandon
Yeah, during my research of the truck I learned that they had draw issues. I plan to install a battery master switch, but being as the battery box is outside the vehicle i'm not sure how or where to place it. The gentleman I purchased the truck from replaced all 4 batteries with new Napa 6tls...
Haha, I don't like the sound of that. However, learning I can charge each battery separately without disconnecting the whole harness makes me happy. I ordered up a couple solargizer to help keep the batteries topped off and make sure I don't get stranded somewhere. Since that's what caused...
Yes, I find it confusing. I have trouble determining whether to connect chargers/maintainers to those posts you describe or to just concentrate on the two separate linked batteries. I see you have an M1070, how do you keep your truck charged?
Sorry, that's where I'm confused. Looking at the attached diagram I posted, I'm not sure which positive on the left bank of batteries corresponds with the negative on the right bank of batteries. Unless all those connections don't matter. Would I be fine with just connecting one set of...
Thank you, I love it and have big plans for it someday. So, where would I attach my clamps to charge each parallel set invidually without disconnecting everything?
Would you happen to know the part number? I looked at their website but had no clue as to which one would work. I purchased a slave plug and cable set and was going to attach the charger through it. Would that be ok?
Also, if I were to install a Solargizer how would you recommend it being done? One for each battery or would one work for all four? If only using one, where would I attach the positive and negative according to above diagram? Thanks.
Ok, thank you. I've read that as well but was only hoping to charge through the slave port when the batteries are dead or the truck won't start. Could I also use a trickle charger or battery tender through the slave port to keep the batteries fully charged all the time?
Hi guys,
I've been searching the forums and couldn't find anything pertaining to my situation, so I thought i'd take a chance and ask. I've got a 1999 M1070 (all original without the battery cutoff switch) and I have battery drainage issues. I intend to put a cutoff switch in soon, but want...
Hey guys! Thanks for the warm welcome! I've always loved these big machines and so happy to finally be able to get my hands on them. Once I got my Commercial Driver's License for my last truck and trailer, it opened up a whole new world of possibilities with these beasts.
My plan is to...
I think there's miss communication between us. I'm speaking of proper legal etiquette and I won't be doing anything illegal. Thank you for advice and I will surely post pics if I buy it.
I see where you're getting at and I'm familiar with CVC 4000. That's only applicable if caught "driving" on a public road or highway or parked on a public road. If the vehicle is towed, not driven, to private property and stored upon that property, CVC 4000 is not enforcible. That is what...
