    Valve stem removal?

simp5782 thanks for the help. I did get the wheel off. The nut sticks up just enough to not allow the wheel to slide out. Little more force and it came out.

    Valve stem removal?

I strapped it to a rail road tye in the ground and pulled it with my truck. The tye gave. It was a little rioted but the beadlock kept the wheel in. I believe the valve stem is holding it in...

    Valve stem removal?

The valve stem goes into a bolt that is bolted to the wheel. But the stem will be bent if I turn the bolt. Is there a way to remove it? I have tried pulling the wheel out. Bead is broke. Appears the beadlock is holding it in. I can see a brass nut in there where the valve goes in. That appears...

    Valve stem removal?

I acquired 6 wheels, I believe FMTV whwels with 395/85r20s, to replace my split rim setup on my M51A2. I still need one more for a spare. The question is how to remove the valve stem? I have disassembled the wheel, but looks like the valve stem is hold the wheel to the bead lock. What am I...

Looking at just going to manual gauges since water temp or oil pressure isn't working. Any recommendations? Also thought about putting pyro gauge on her.

    Electrical issue in my M51A2

Ajax MD, thank you for the useful information. I always remove the interlink cable to keep the barriers from draining. A battery tender is a good idea, just wish the truck was covered and closer to a power source. I will start working on the items you suggested this weekend..

    Electrical issue in my M51A2

The wiring on the truck is a mess. A lot of wires have been cut in random places. Most of the gauges don't work. The plug in on the back of the truck was cut off. Fuel pump did not work. I have added a fuel pump under the tool box that works for priming. The pump is not need after the truck is...

    Electrical issue in my M51A2

My M51A2 transfer fuel pump started getting very weak. I can hear it cut on but not really pumping. But truck cranked fine. Then truck stopped cranking. Batteries dead. Had them in the truck a years. Walmart 34N 800cca. Charged batteries. Only one would charge on the machine. The other would...

    Mep 002a no start

I am to surprised they both went out at the same time. You stated you changed fuel filters. Air still in the lines?

    M51A2 starter drive

Have you thought about just getting a new unit? A electric motor shop sold me a new one cheap than the price to rebuild my starter for my M51a2.

    Truck uncontrollable after bump.

The steering is going left and right, but it is more of a bounce to me. Up and down. I can hold the steering wheel, but I am bouncing hard. It is hard to explain. But it is so severe I have to almost completely stop the truck for it to stop. It has did this before when the air pressure was low...

    Truck uncontrollable after bump.

My M51A2 runs good. Still has the old NDT tires and everything else looks stock. The dog bones look ok, no separation. When I first got the truck the truck would do the same thing, but I believe it was caused by tire pressure being low. I was traveling roughly 45 mph and hit a bump in the road...

803 vs central air unit...no go

My 002 runs my central ac. 2.5 ton I believe. It wouldn't run it until I put batteries in the thermostat. The power surge for the fan motor seemed to mess with the power to the thermostat. Batteries solved this and ac runs great!

    PTO neutral on M51A2

The teapot filter setup was for the Mack, per members of this forum. My M51A2 does not have the teapot. That is what made me believe it could have been a Mack. The orginal poster also stayed the engine was replaced, in his recover post of the truck.

    PTO neutral on M51A2

Seq, I thought it was a Mack because that is the air filter setup (teapot) for them.

    PTO neutral on M51A2

Have you loaded it down? I normally haul but nothing to heavy most of the time. Oh, you have the Mack. The old multifuel might not have the ability your does with the 52s.

Your rig looks nice. Are those 16s tires. I need to change my tires, trying to decide what to do. How is your speed with those tires?
