You want to see a M900 series up close and personal drive over to Bridgton. I have a NICE 936. NO,it is NOT for sale, and wouldn't be what you're looking for. but it will allow you to see a 5ton and how they are set up

Ya Red,Made a Custom one for mine.If I can remember long enough,I'll snap a pic tomorrow. The link would only be about 4" just enough to slide over the support bar as pictured ,just gives you an eye up and down. You could use a pin style hook instead of a shackle if you wanted. I just simplified...

Suggestion......Make two toggle plates that pin to the outside eye. That way you can have a shackle top and bottom. Makes it more convenient.

    M923 Rear Hydraulic Winch Install

Point can be argued in many directions. If you feel you need 6oK to move something,Build it up. I've moved LOADED tractor trailers with Waaay less winch, like 20,000# Bradens. For quite a number of years(over 50) I have been running winch trucks/wreckers ,every rig we own has a minimum of 5...

    M923 Rear Hydraulic Winch Install

60 K is Waaay overkill for that job. The Dp will be faster than the 45K Military winch and keep n mind that with a snatch block or two you can go down into the 20K winches and have plenty of power. Military winch tend to be UNDERRATED by quite a bit. No matter which way you go,you'll have plenty...

    Wrecker Crane Remote Control

Yes Red,the Lodars are Expensive.Mine WITH actuator was right around $1000 as I recall( Actually I was wrong, the price of the kit was just over $600) . I'm VERY happy with the remote I put on the drag on the 936. I'd LOVE to fully remote the crane but both money and required mods for the times I...

M939 series transfer case low range / front axle engagement

'Big ASS Sign in the cab of the 900's says N E V E R use reverse in LOW range !!!!!!

    Could I use a 5-ton for this?

Ramp loading Don't even THINK about loading the tractor on ramps. I don't even like loading equipment on a LOWbed on ramps. If you can build an earthern "loading dock"on both properties.......Great........if not use a trailer. the slightest moisture/mud on the ramps can cause disaster. I can't...

    Wrecker Crane Remote Control

Look at Lodar. I put a lodar electric over air on my drag winch(M936A2) and it works as designed. I BELIEVE they make straight electric multi channel units as well

Lexus vs M931 bobtailed, got rear ended

It was GONE the minute you found the transfer case problem.........with the broken bellhousing there is NO doubt..........If they can afford a Lexus, they SHOULD be able to buy you a replacement GREEN machine
