Well, my current insurance company has all my vehicles (x9), both businesses and my home insurance. I imagine they don't want to see me leave. If so, I'm glad to walk away.

I'm not too worried about insurance. There are plenty of companies out there that will.

Well, I finally got my title today. I went right down to the courthouse and got my plates. My insurance man is having a little trouble with his company getting it insured. We'll see.

Dan's a great guy there in Riley. Give him a call on upcoming auction items and he'll let you know the real deal on the vehicles.

Yea that would be fun. But I'd need a very large fleet of trucks for all the parts I want. But an annual road trip would be sublime.

I really like the idea of having the bed rails or troop carrier in back. Someone in Florida is selling brand new ones in the wood crate on eBay for $200. But they haven't responded as to how much freight would be on something that big. That's probably the price killer.

$700 cash. The cheapest I've run across is around $60 without brackets.

So I picked up one of these airlift bumpers today. Couple guys I found are building them locally. Very nice work, laser cut bumper and brackets.

I know this is the wrong bracket for a two man set-up. But this is insane $$ for one bracket. http://equipmentpartssales.mysimplestore.com/products/m998-cargo-bulkhead-lh-bracket-12446774-5340-01-408-6459-nos

Just realized that the bulkhead divider for the 2 man set up is missing. Just purchased one on eBay tonight. Are there brackets that are needed to install this panel?

Picked it up today. No problems, started right up and crawled onto the trailer, I forgot just how gutless these trucks were. Whew! I was prepared for the worst but all went off without a hitch. Steve isn't there any longer, sounds like some drama transpired. Dan is the new guy, he was GREAT. It...

Tow rig and trailer are great. Just don't know the true status of the M998.

Well I finally got the EUC today. Heading to Minnesota to transport home tomorrow. Wish me luck! I bought 2 new batteries this morning. I'm bringing a ton of tools and an air tank. What else is a good idea when loading one up?

That's why I have a "go bag" ready for a surprise pickup. I've always got an extra toolbox ready to go for my rock crawling adventures. Extreme mechanics on the trail makes the day a memorable one. Of course the curse is whatever you don't bring as a spare is probably what's going to...

It's in Randall Minnesota, I assume it was from Fort Ripley. About 160 miles from home, so we're going to pick it up when my EUC clears.

I'm already a Jeep addict, so "upgrade and modifications" are my middle name. My wonderful wife says "whatever, it keeps you outa my hair".

Hi All New member here. I just "won" an auction on GP today for a 1986 M998 2 door soft top with 28k on the odometer today. It really takes 8-12 weeks to receive the EUC? Kind of disappointing. But at least it should be in my possession before the end of summer, so that's a plus.
