first of all you dont want to have a diesel running at high idle from start to warm it up as that only moves the coolant round the engine quicker and spins the cooling fan quicker. leave it at idle for no more than 5 minutes, just enough to warm the lube oil. if you leave it idling for much...
true about which end is the danger end, but im afraid i dont have much of a clue about the vehicles as im more into boats and dont actually own a vehicle apart from a 50cc scooter lol
why do you suggest that? I did read that using WVO in some engines that due to incomplete combustion there is a possibility that a carbon build up around the rings could cause a runaway engine, and it burning the sump oil to the point of no possible way to shut it down and ending in destruction...
sounds like its been wired up wrong, i heard of something similar a few years back on a pleasure boat on a volvo engine, guy stopped the engine and the alternator kept running
