I just found this thread and I think I figured my problem out I have a bunch of ice on the front of my truck and the front brakes locked up. Thanks one more lesson learned!
works better with a load...
The company I work for has a 650T I think I'll limit the weight to a reasonable load for traction...:-PIMHO often trucks like these will work better off road with some weight in the back since it is designed to haul. So limit your TOTAL weight to your crane/forklift.
So I'm thinking of a straight pop up vs the side pop up in this photo and rendering. What do you think the risk is of flexing with this mounted on the standard flat bed vs. a sub frame. I have crane access to remove it and would build fork pockets into the base and lift eyes in the corners...

I hope this helps someone in the future. My truck was running bad and would not make power.
So is this worthy of me posting the part number I got from Cat so someone in the future can source this somewhere other than your local cat dealer? Part was $160 from Cat and the same thing is online for about $100 so save $60?
Before someone goes off on genuine Cat parts etc. The cat part...
So I replaced the oil injector actuation sensor and my troubles are over with the low power issue and the check engine has cleared. This is the small 3 wire sensor on the front left side of the head above the fuel pump. My activation pressure was extremely high on the engine monitor prior...
I have low power the fuel filters are new and I have changed out the fuel filter housing. From what I could find with the excessive actuation pressure code is that it could be a sensor on the high pressure oil.
I also have injector activation voltage High no idea on this one. Anyone been...
How do you detect if the primer ball is bad? Should it pump up hard and stay that way? I'm still having issues and the check engine light is on. I'll try to find a code reader and see what it says.
I have a LMTV with 13,000 miles it has sat a while but I drove it home 40 miles without issue. When I start up the idle is loping and surging any ideas on what to check? Temps are in the 30s here now but I have the block heater plugged in and the engine block is warm to the touch. I'm going...
Truck is 2001 but it was sent back to Stewart Stevens in 09 and brought up to A1 specs? Or so I'm told. 13,000 miles crapped out AGMs I'm trying to charge. After a couple of hours running it would start on batteries let it sit and it drains down. So no ecu draw if I put an amp meter in...
Do you know what kind of draw (amps) these trucks have for the ECU's and other load when they sit? I just got a M1078A1 and the batteries drain hard if not kept on a charger. It appears to charge when it is running after I jump it with a slave off of my generator
