Odyssey 6TL Battery Mounting Question. Anyone tried swapping to 8D AGM batteries?
I recently bought a 2012 MTV 6x6 on consignment at an expedition RV builder in MO. The batteries are toast and need to be replaced. The truck is currently at the RV builder pending the start of an RV build with them. They just quoted me 3 to 4 hours of labor plus parts to replace the batteries... -

Independent Suspension Caiman Axle Swap for M1083 6X6
Is it possible to convert a M1083A1R 6x6 to independent suspension by swapping the axles from a Caiman II? I'm not at all an expert on axles or suspension by any means, but from what I've read it seems like the Caiman has pretty much the same frame as an MTV. There was some limited discussion... -

How reliable can I expect a "new" 2012 MTV to be? What locking diff options exist? I'm about to pull the trigger on a new old stock 2012 BAE SD Brazos 6x6 and have Global Expedition Vehicles build a 23 ft camper shell on it. The SD Brazos is the civilian version of the MTV and is almost 100%...
