FLU 419 Front Axle/driveshaft locked up

I thought it may help someone else to start a thread regarding a recent problem I had where the front axle refused to turn which left me stuck in a field. The truck wouldn't move in forward or reverse or any gear combination. This was preceded by a couple episodes of a "catching" or "slipping"...

SEE Transmission not operating in any forward or reverse gear

Not sure I follow what you mean by “have to have the driveshaft and torque tube”. Are you saying that it’s more difficult to do the job because they both have to remain in place and they are difficult to work around as a unit?

SEE Transmission not operating in any forward or reverse gear

With both axles off the ground, the rear spins/drives normally- by hand or powered. 4WD/lockers disengaged. The front wheels will...

    FLU419 transmission question

Msharky. I never saw a reply to answer you question about the wheels skidding in hi range. Did you figure it out. Mine is doing the same thing but it started just in hi but now is doing it full time. I can’t even drive the truck at this point. No abnormal noises. It just binds up like it’s...
