    Black Out Light Replacements

There was an outfit on ebay a while back selling a plug and play set of ligts for the BO marker spots that made them running lights. I didn’t buy them but they looked to be decent quality. Maybe give it a search. Not for the purists…

    M1009 Auxiliary Fuel Line ??

All My M1009 has recently started dripping fuel out of the capped fuel line that sits above the frame rail inside the passenger side rear wheel well. It is a consistent drip while the vehicle is not running. I did observe a hissing sound when the fuel cap is removed and the dripping does...

    60 Amp Regulator Help

Does anyone know why there are 4 spade type connectors on the regulator but only 3 wires to plug in? I disconnected the 3 wires and am now unsure of the locations to plug back in. I know one connection was unused….just didn’t pay close enough attention while disassembling. Any help would be...

    700R4 transmission in a HMMWV

70 MPH,...Nope, 55 MPH reasonably quiet, turns about 2300 RPM cruising 55. I would imagine fuel mileage has increased with the additional gear, but I’ve never found a reason to calculate fuel mileage. I’m guessing you could really wrap it up and run 70MPH. I wanted to comfortably cruise...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Been AWOL for a while....as far as my fleet was concerned. Finally got the badly leaking heater core replaced in my 3 color 1009. Didn’t drive it for months but did keep starting it weekly and batteries charged. No leak, all is forgiven, all components functioning as designed....knock on wood.

    German CUCV owner needs information

What do you mean doesn’t lock in the seating position? Like it falls back, or just folds forward? If it just folds forward I’m not sure it’s broken. Both of my trucks drivers seats fold forward by simply applying forward pressure on the seat back...Nothing holds or releases it.

    Wheel color question

Not sure if there is a correct....most I’ve seen back in the day “on post” had black wheels even the 3 color trucks. When we started masking vehicles off and sending them for the change over to Tan CARC the wheels were Tan. That’s my story...

    Smoky start up

Could be the outside temps are lower than before the pump was installed, harder to start now, causing smoke. Maybe check glow plugs for “fun”.... just my thoughts. Good luck
