    Possible Cooling Fan Issue

Luckily the fan blades were only bent in the area where it was hitting the center bolt on the added 12 volt alternator as the blades were spinning with the angled area toward the bolt and not the stiff 90 degree end.

    Possible Cooling Fan Issue

So it was the cooling fan and it was hitting the bolt from the alternator as the bolt from the water pump housing sheered off and the alternator is leaning slightly into the fan. We used a red wire to feel if the bolt was still in the housing and it is so we will have to replace the housing

    Possible Cooling Fan Issue

We are going to look at it tonight and I will report back and no this was like a quiet normal ride to a loud obnoxious grinding type sound the whole 2.5 miles back at 20-30 mph because if you went over that the noise got increasingly louder and we never heard that noise before. Checked the tac...

    Possible Cooling Fan Issue

Hello all, Our M35A2 started making a weird rattling/scraping sound all of a sudden going about 20-25 on our way back from a mountain fire at 300am. We are thinking it is a fan issue but unsure as we had to leave and go to work today. The truck was on a stone/dirt road and never got onto the...

    Turbo Matching

When someone repainted the truck from green to red, they sprayed over the dirty filter indicator and it is barely visible. We are looking to replace the filter first and see what happens. We think the turbo may still be good?

    Turbo Matching

These last 2 pictures - what does the tube that is capped off go too? The smoke pic is when the OLD air filter and can is back installed as we do not have a new one yet. The video is WITHOUT the air filter and can installed.

    Turbo Matching

After a long time, we finally got time to take the deuce apart a little more, I got some pictures of the turbo, the air filter and can and the smoke without the air filter and with the air filter back in. We are thinking if we replace the air filter it will help but we are still looking for more...

    Type of motor in Deuce

I was going by what I was being told, I only got pictures sent to me of the turbo on the deuce a few months ago. Maybe it does have 6, I have never seen the inside of the engine compartment personally. It does look like someone said the link I shared will fit the stock engine and thank-you for...

    Type of motor in Deuce

Hello all, I tried to research what type of motor was in our 1977 American General M35A2. I know it is a 4-cylinder but we are looking to put fuel filters on the state forestry grant since this truck is owned by the forestry and on loan to us. We can put maintenance items on the grant. How...

    M1028 & Rear Hitches

Hello all, We are looking to put a rear hitch on the back of a former 1985 Chevy M1028. A Draw-Tite representative is asking the following questions. I know it is an 8 foot bed but how do I know if it has a deep drop bumper or not? I did not get to measure and see if the frame is 34 inches wide...

    Where to find wheel seal?

Would this kit work well for our truck? Also what is the difference between a regular and sock-style seal? https://www.rockwelloffroad.com/product-page/2-5-ton-steer-axle-boot-and-seal-kit-1
