I was referencing what most sources were reporting at the time, which is the figure Waukesha Fire alone had transported. It took awhile for others to realize Milwaukee, Mukwonago, Oconomowoc, etc Fire Departments also responded and transported victims.
To be clear, this is HIGHLY UNUSUAL for...
**UPDATE**
Injury count estimate is now down to around 20. It sounds like the car reportedly plowed into a parade unit on foot, which is where most of the casualties are localized. The unit was made up of girls between ages 9 and 15.
Not sure yet. Again, crime like this is extremely unusual around here.
At the risk of making a huge assumption, it almost sounds like a political response over the Rittenhouse verdict in somewhat-nearby Kenosha.
**UPDATE**
It now sounds like three African American males drove a red Ford...
Not sure where to put this, as it's more of a warning to everyone in the future.
I just learned that there was a shooting at the Downtown Waukesha, WI Christmas Parade. Three guys did a drive-by down Main Street, opening up on spectators. At least five kids are hospitalized, and several dead...
Here's us in the Waukesha, WI July 4th parade, both 2019 and 2021. I'm in my airdrop LMTV. Both the M35A3 (my Dad) and I have fire engine horns. Definitely croud pleasers!
Oh, and the M113 this year got plenty of attention too!!
2019: (action starts at 10:15)
2021: (action starts at 14:16)
Thanks for your help, everyone!
I think I my problem is a combination of a choked fuel system and huge ratio difference between 2nd and 3rd. I took it out for a spin a couple more times, and found that the engine just isn't revving fast enough on takeoff, no matter what gear its in. The problem...
At least it sounds like more of a mechanical adjustment than replacing expensive sensors.
I confirmed that it does throw a code when I unplug the TPS. Still no codes plugged in.
Hey everyone!
My M1081A0 with WTEC II has a downshifting issue that I think I know the answer to, but can't confirm definitively.
My trans downshifts fine when slowing to a stop, although it sometimes takes a little coaxing with brake pumping to nudge it out of each gear. It is, however, very...
Congrats, one of the nicest looking CUCVs I've ever seen!
I've read about the horror story that is the TÜV... "getting it roadworthy" is more of a commitment to you than it would be to most of us in the States!
Late to the discussion, but congrats on the truck!
As far as not being historical, I would absolutely disagree. The LVADs are naturally very capable cargo trucks by design, and were more likely to be sent overseas than a standard truck. They were used heavily in Iraq, and even the oldest ones...
Unless the CARC's finish is so rough that it actually has protruding bumps or extremely thick texture, I wouldn't think that decals won't stick. Vinyl decals should stick pretty well.
In any event, prepping with alcohol is a good idea. I would also suggest spraying some very soapy water onto...
I haven't found any gauges that are an exact match for the originals (A0 gen), nor any complete set of gauges that are similar, but I have found some from different makers that are close. I found that Hewit makes a close boost gauge, and Apexmeter makes a close tachometer.
Unfortunately, it's...
Thanks!
======================
Here's how it looks as of today. The past couple months have mostly consisted of dent-pulling and general bodywork, mostly in the cab corners and doors, where the doors were left open one too many times while the cab was being lifted. The doors actually crushed...
Hey everyone, (relatively) long time lurker here! I've been doing lots of work to my truck as of late, and since today marked it's first test drive since I've owned it, I realized that a restoration thread is probably in order. I bought my M1081 for $3900 back in mid-November, but it...
I'm not trying to advertise...I'm just explaining what has worked for me. The OP asked what product he should use, and I answered with a product I'm not affiliated with at all.
I guess I could say "water based UV protectant" to be general, but this is the best stuff I know of.
Hey guys! New poster here, but I have been lurking somewhat regularly for a few weeks now. I'm a little late in replying, but better late than never!:naner:
Coming from vintage phone restoration and vehicle detailing, I can't stress enough how damaging silicone-based products are for rubber and...
