Well Light I'm not really sure. I bought the Innova board which makes everything automatic we wired the board per the instructions so that if you have an aux tank it would come on and function and go off when the tank was full. I'll attach the Innova instructions so you can review them and maybe...
Gentlemen,
My nephews (both separated military in avionics/electronics) were over and installed the aux fuel pump for me this weekend. We didn't check the pump or function because the primary tank was about 3/4 full the pump didn't come on, or so they thought I reckon. Fast forward to yesterday...
Gentlemen, I got the E8135 installed for the primary pump, It installed well in the factory position. The top line is a bit of a stretch, but I got it to reach and hooked up. Runs like a champ again. Next weekend I'm going to replace the Aux pump as it has failed too. I'm going to Light In The...
Thanks everyone for your help, again! Better for me to find out now ahead of hurricane season as I live in Central Florida out in the country, frequently lose power, and sometimes in the event of a hurricane for as many as 7-10 days (Michael And Maria)! When this generator is working it's really...
Well my main fuel pump is the square type. Thanks for directing me to it's location, I couldn't see it as it's mounted behind the perforated radiator shield. Any idea where to source a new one. I'm not sure the aux pump is working either so I'd like to pick one of those up as well.
Thanks guys...
Hello,
I'm not even sure where the pump is located. If you could direct me to it's location I'll have a look today and report back as to the type of pump.
Thanks,
Frank
Hey Fellas,
Once again I'm having issues with my MEP 803-A. I have it set up with the Innova board and an auto transfer switch and it's been working fine since last summer. I was servicing my tractor, and I have the generator set to cycle every Sunday at 3PM with a load for 20 minutes. That's...
Hello Ray,
I don't know if there's a way on the forum to reach out to folks in particular, but Guyfang has helped me and seems to know a lot about the electrical workings of these generators. I'm sure he could help you out.
LITD, Mine usually runs at like 85% sometimes 90%. When I loaded it with the dryer too on high it went to 110%, Yikes. I know they can handle I think 125% in short bursts. So I never really hit 100%, that's why I can't understand why the other guys were trying to sell me such a big unit.
Sgt...
Good Morning Mac,
Thanks for your information, I'll keep an eye on the rigid pipe. So far so good, the longest it's run so far is about 6 hours, it performs it's 20 minute load test every Sunday.
So when I was looking for gen sets I looked at the traditional sets (generac, etc), but they...
Thanks Mac, yes those are horse pads as you describe, I had them laying around and I thought they might help dampen the vibrations. The concrete pad is overkill, a good friend did it for me, 6" concrete with a rebar cage and welded wire fabric. When it runs there's a very slight hum in the...
Gentlemen,
I have a MEP 803a that I've set up as my permanent whole house backup generator. I added Military Pulse charger to keep the batteries charged. I'm having a problem where the batteries are discharging even with the solar maintainer connected. I feel like something is drawing down the...
Update! Sorry fellas been really busy. I did everything jamawieb suggested. We checked the voltage, 0 & 24 just like he said. We jumped it temporarily with a wire, fired right up! When removing the diode be very careful as the ceramic or plastic insulator will break, don't ask me how I know. I...
Gentlemen,
Say it is the diode, what specifically would I need to get and where could I find one? My nephew is coming up this weekend and it might be wise to have one here if it ends up being bad.
Thanks,
Frank
Thanks fellas! Devilphrog I checked those switches it's all good. Jamawieb I will perform your diagnostic and see what gives. I'll report back on my results. Have a great day.
