Totally agree with Retiredwarhourses - first thing is to confirm the temp gauge: go by a cheap laser temp, and confirm the engine temp by pointing it at the top of the radiator, or the thermostat housing. If you are running hot, and the fan is not on, then you can disconnect the upper temp...
