Its not the original motor, it is a '73 360, according to the vin the truck came with a 318. The messed up part about the 2bbl is that while running numbers I found it is a factory 4bbl manifold. So someone took the time to transplant a 360 4bbl motor but then choked it out with a factory GM...

Waaaaaaay late to the posting I know, but any luck on the project? I’m finally trying to get around to working on my 72 d200 USAF truck out of Arizona. I will try starting a thread later and post some pics of the truck and tags/plates in the truck maybe something can help if you still need it.
Looks nice, look forward to seeing more pics and progress. Picked up a ‘72 D200 club cab utiline bed (former USAF base truck out of Arizona) a few years back I’m starting to work on. Hope things go well with your project.
