Did you have the Caterpillar 7155 16 speed transmission? Did you have to move the transfer case to install it?

New pyrometer & boost gauge pod install

Holy cow!!! How did you manage a 3 hour swap. It took me 3 weeks. I had a lot of stuff to change from the civilian engine. I'm really hoping the turbo let's me pull on hills. How did your 923 drive on hills, and otherwise, compared to the NHC 250? Were you running super singles? Please tell me...

New pyrometer & boost gauge pod install

Unfortunately, FLUFFY is still a shop princess at the moment. She has a stage 3 Blaylock Switch Blade custom made for my engine. I have not loaded it up yet, but WOW she will spool up fast just tooling around parking lot. My engine work is pretty much done for now. I just extended the cab 10"...

New pyrometer & boost gauge pod install

I'm sure you have read all the forums here about the pros and cons of putting a turbo on a NHC 250 which doesn't have piston coolers. I have not read anything about someone who did it and caused their engine to fail. It is a great project. I look forward to seeing your results. Personally, I...

    Wrecker bed modification

M936 named FLUFFY. Please make any modifications your heart desires. I removed the spare tire to make room for a cab extension. I wanted more room for air ride seats. I would of made it a 4 door, but I wanted room for tool boxes.

I believe the pump has a size 12 button now. I forget and would need to verify that

M936 Cummins Big Cam 3 Engine Swap

The VS injector pump was completely rebuilt and turned up to 435 based on cpl# and I added a couple other things and called it 450 for simplicity. Pittsburgh power rebuilt and turned up the pump. It was originally a NTC 350 big cam 3. So technically, the number is 435.

I meant to say as much space as I "dared".

M936 Cummins Big Cam 3 Engine Swap

I took as much space as I cared. Need room for tool boxes. Also building headache rack to mount spare over cab roof

M936 Cummins Big Cam 3 Engine Swap

Engine mods done. Now 450 HP. Wow is all I can say. I am currently in the process of extending the cab 10 inches for new air ride seats and comfort.

M936 Cummins Big Cam 3 Engine Swap

Be careful which ISX fuel pump you have. The ones with the super high pressure rail have ceramic dowel things in the injector pump head. Around 300000 miles they fracture and contaminate the oil. The engine then needs new rod and main bearings. New oil pump and oil cooler. Worst of all the...

M936 Cummins Big Cam 3 Engine Swap

Interesting. I haven't tried mine under load yet. I'm waiting for my fuel pump to come back. Right now she is a shop princess. What engine do you have? What size blaylock did you run?

M936 Cummins Big Cam 3 Engine Swap

I couldn't help myself... having a chrome turbo intake pipe just seemed like the right thing to do. I am having fun!
