    3D Printer Nozzle Sizes

What filament are you using? I have used mostly ABS for the better wear, and built a great enclosure which helps a ton on prints, I'm going to see about ordering some 0.6mm for my Ender 5 Plus for when I get around to it.

    6BT swap questions

I've done my homework, for sure. Comparing the estimated/potential hp and torque output of this modified engine should have it well above the Mack, and better than the multifuel at bare stock. I've specifically built it for lower end power, so the 1400rpm stock torque band compared to the...

    6BT swap questions

I would have preferred a transmission swap at the same time, but mine has a PTO w/ winch in the front, and it's a pretty large price jump for the project to do that as well. Is that a stock 6BT? How does it compare to the multifuel in pushing that truck around?

    6BT swap questions

A stock 6BT has about 215hp at 2,500rmp and 420 torque at 1,600. You can push those motors to about 800-1k hp before you start to lose reliability. It has forged pistons, I've put the Hamilton 168/208 cam in it for slightly increased hp and because it increases the spooling of the turbo at...

    CA ENDT 673C 2k

I am getting ready to pull an ENDT 673C from an M54A1. It is in running condition but needs work, being sold as is and complete. Only thing I'm not selling with the engine is the power steering pump, for obvious reasons, aftermarket equipment for the truck, not part of the motor. When I did...

    6BT swap questions

Finally back on my 5 ton project. Between buying some off-grid Az property and having a kid it's been sitting for a few years. Have my 6BT almost built, was wondering if anyone has any experience in swapping that with matching one up to the Spicer 6453 or close. I know it's the STD #2...

Any interest in a Mack ENDT673C + Tranny?

This truck was redone in 1975, so I am guessing as it has the 673C, I am strongly considering doing a cummings swap for reliability/power/easier to maintain. Would anyone here be interested in the engine/trans from an M54A1 and what could I expect to get for it? Located in So. Cal. Not ready...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Finished a locking battery box to keep battery tender inside as well as a simple cut off switch for between the terminals. Kind of sucks to be in California, as the level of thievery and such is not unsubstantial, especially on bigger trucks and their batteries.

I am looking to get a M923A2 in CA and need to know how to register one.

Can you give me a reference as to where they changed the laws preventing me from registering a 5 ton as a housecar? I'm having trouble finding anything that prevents me from doing so and can still find the forms and requirements on DMV's website for declaring a vehicle to be used for habitation.

I am looking to get a M923A2 in CA and need to know how to register one.

I have the option of registering it in Az, as I can store it there for half the year at my boss's place, how does Az fare in the registration game?

I am looking to get a M923A2 in CA and need to know how to register one.

It's still possible to register them as RV's isn't it? I was under the impression that either the 2.5 or 5 ton registered as an RV only requires a class C, as you are able to drive any housecar under 40 feet, has no specific restrictions on weight or axles. Also, is it the same or easier to...

    5 Ton Lug Nut Torque

I got one of the 1:78 torque multipliers off of Amazon, not a bad tool for $85, but kind of cheap. Mine had a few tight spots so I worked the tool quite a bit and put some wear into it until it smoothed out (for proper torque readings). I just did mine by hand while watching a few movies, but...

    Introducing the Soldier B HubHelper!!

Really, the stress points on the bottom are to be found most on the angle section of the tool, having a full ring only actually adds more weight to only add more holes to mount. If it were necessary to have all holes bolted it might make a difference, but it really only needs as many as...

    Converting M916A3 into fire service

    Just purchased an M54A1

I know one of the things that makes my Toyota much better is being narrower, having a shorter wheel base, and being so light. Having some weight helps with traction to a point, but too much and you tend to dig in to mud etc., so I would guess that the deuce is much better off road.

    Just purchased an M54A1

Well, I am not planning on chopping into it, as the only real modifications I am planning to do is rig it to dual run off of fryer oil and a remote master cylinder reservoir for easier/safer brake fluid check, and the disk brakes seemed like they could be a nice addition for a back up braking...

    Just purchased an M54A1

Well thanks for the replies and info on the truck! As far as off-road I had heard that the M54's were a lot easier to get stuck with the extra weight, and figured with any kind of load on it that it would especially make less suitable. If that is not the case then I am kind of glad I...
