My MEP 806B has been acting up lately. The engine control start/stop started malfunctioning. I had to add a fuel shutoff valve to the fuel line because the engine control stopped working when I switched the knob to off. It starts the generator, but it will not turn it off now.
The AC Circuit...
I finally got it shut down. I’m going to look at picking up a new actuator or checking out the one that’s on it from the link you shared. Thank you for that btw. I think I may also try and put a shut off valve in the fuel line from the fuel tank to the fuel pump. Would definitely be easier to...
That’s what I’m getting ready to do. They have put a ton of silicone on all of the connectors. I’m just going to cut the line and put a shut off valve on the line in the event this happens again. I haven’t researched the availability of the electronic actuator, is it readily available?
Everything looks to be redundant. Pulls fuel from the tank on both sides of the motor. I tried taking the injector pump fuel line off but it just sprayed diesel everywhere. Took the fuel out on the fuel pump and it made even more of a mess. Interrupting the fuel should have made the motor diesel...
All that’s doing is spraying diesel full all over the engine compartment. It sucks that there isn’t a fuel shut off valve to kill the fuel going to the fuel pump. As for the rear screw on the actuator, I took it completely out and twisted the throttle backwards and it wanted to shut down but it...
No I have not adjusted anything since I haven’t a clue what I should be adjusting. I will see if I can locate the two wires on the injection pump. Any insight as to what I should adjust would be greatly appreciated.
Well I fired it up again and it still won’t turn off. The emergency shut off button does not work either. It doesn’t appear that there is a fuel shut off valve. Any suggestions other then letting it run out of fuel?
Emergency bypass? No clue where that is. Is that the dead crank toggle? If so, she tried turning that to off as well and it ran for a solid day and half or so before it ran out of fuel.
Yes, the very same one. You think that me opening the throttle screw had something to do with it? I fired it up at least 6-8 times and shut it down without any problems.
Well I was out of town and my wife fires up the generator. When she went to shut it off, the generator would not shut off. She tried everything and eventually it ran out of fuel. Two questions, 1. What would cause it not to shut off and 2. Where is the injector pump primer lever to prime the...
Well I got the hertz up to 60 by opening up the throttle screw. The rpms increased as did the hertz. I took a couple of pictures and a video of it running as well as the gauges as it was running. Let me know if I should be concerned with anything else, or if it’s good to run as is. 155mm I...
