Won’t go past 55 mph and revs high while driving.

You were right on the money. I put the new filters in and she opened right back up to highway speeds with no issue. I just have to adjust my regulator and modulator back to how it was, the shifts were funky. Thanks for yours and everyone’s help, I’ll know to change that every couple of months to...

Won’t go past 55 mph and revs high while driving.

It’s hard to tell, I’ll test it tomorrow when I get the filter and pay closer attention. I’ve shifted from D to 2nd going around 40 mph , the engine acted crazy so maybe that was a sign that it was in 3rd. The fluid was a little low, but it was still above the add line. It’s a new adjustable...

Won’t go past 55 mph and revs high while driving.

I did that a few days ago, I put it to my finger and it did have suction.

Won’t go past 55 mph and revs high while driving.

I’ll have it tomorrow, just ordered it on Amazon. That was just a reference to show what the filter is clogged with.

Won’t go past 55 mph and revs high while driving.

I wanna say you’re right about that, either it was hard to tell or it didn’t go into 3rd at all. It shifts fine going into 2nd around 15 mph (something like that), but once I reach 50-55 it just stays there even with my foot to the floor. When it does rev up it doesn’t do anything but make the...

Won’t go past 55 mph and revs high while driving.

I’ll wait for a new filter before trying to drive again.

Won’t go past 55 mph and revs high while driving.

I’ll try to drain the bowl and see what it does until I can order a new one, it is definitely dirty though. I changed the in-line filter I have right before the spin on, and the color difference is ridiculous. I definitely neglected the filter though, I hope that’s the problem and I didn’t mess...

Won’t go past 55 mph and revs high while driving.

I’ve had this CUCV M1009 for a few years now, and it’s ran at Highway Speeds (65-70) with no problem until recently. It wont’t go past 55 mph even when I’m going down a huge hill, and it revs really high every minute or so while driving it at 55. It also seems to shake a lil bit when I’m at...

What are these wires and capacitor?!?!?

Duly noted, my apologies!! I was only trying to help him real quick, I wasn’t too far off about the diode and I was told by one of y’all well known members about the resistor back when I got the truck. I’m not completely wrong though, he should at least take it off the firewall to check the...

What are these wires and capacitor?!?!?

On a side note though, might wanna keep an eye on that fire hazard you still have hooked up (24v to 12v resistor). Most people get rid of it and hook the wire from the glow plug solenoid straight to the 12v distribution block, and some run a new wire from the GP solenoid straight to the battery...

What are these wires and capacitor?!?!?

My bad, it’s a lil more to the left of the glove box. I’d just tape it up and leave it if it’s not broken. I forgot what the connector it’s attached to even went to, original fuel filter or something. I just cut all the other wires on mine since the connector isn’t hooked up to anything, I left...

What are these wires and capacitor?!?!?

That’s 1 of 2 Diodes that go to the alternator, the other one is located above the heater core behind the glove box.

M1008: Please help to understand wiring - some questions (Full wiring replacement with non-original)

I apologize, I was wrong about the pink wire going to the sensor. The green wire goes to the sensor, and the fat pink wire goes to the fuse box. There is still that pink/black wire on the sensor though, it also goes to the fuse box.

M1008: Please help to understand wiring - some questions (Full wiring replacement with non-original)

Sorry for all the stray wires laying around. Like Barrman said, the green wire goes to the sensor on the back of the passenger side cylinder. In the photo you’ll see it’s taped to a pink wire, that wire also is attached to the same sensor. I’ll untape it when I get home if it’s not dark, but it...

M1008: Please help to understand wiring - some questions (Full wiring replacement with non-original)

This is what I got, I can take better pics tomorrow. I’m currently redoing all of my wiring, to the best of my knowledge!!

    Sway Bar Extensions

Hell yeah, I ended up finding that same one months ago. I have a 6” lift as well as 35s, I love this truck!!! She’s a work in progress.

    Fiberglass dashboard with speakers

The truck is a work in progress, it will eventually match. My thoughts were having a nice stereo system and a clean dash(minus the imperfections I let slide), I rushed into it. It definitely glares green onto the windshield, but not enough to bother me or interfere with my driving. It’ll look...

    Fiberglass dashboard with speakers

It has some imperfections, it rained the entire time I worked on it.
