Well the problem we discovered is that the solenoids probably arent' the problem but that the motor which is the item shown on top of the reservoir in the picture is actually missing. So we are on the hunt for that item now.
So we have narrowed down the issue with our MRAP's rear door ramp no opening using the switches down to the (2) two solenoids attached on the manual override valve. I have the two new solenoids but the problem we have now is that none of the seven technical manuals I have so how to remove the...
Not sure on the brakes as we have a Maxxpro, but the "things" according to our manual I believe are stretcher mounts for casevac. We took ours out since they got in the way of our plans for the vehicle and we are installing a bench/stage compartment on one side which can double as a stretcher mount.
Thank for the info. I hope that the CARC on it is the water based but I don't hold out much hope (2008 model vehicle), but I do have respirators/filters lined up already. I have had (3) M1009's of my own I have had to do bodywork/paint on and know how nasty that stuff is.
So as long as the surface is lightly sanded the paint will stick no problem? Also do you happen to know what code/trade name would be the best base for a matte finish. Thanks in advance.
So I am about to paint our new MAXXPRO. It is currently in tan obviously. After sanding and rust clean-up, do I need to shoot a coat of primer before we do the Behr paint final coat? Also what would be the best base/color code for a matte black coat.
Thanks in advance.
Peacekeeper at our department has an issue with it's headlights. They will work about half the time, then will go out and maybe come back on later. The weird thing is that some days they work great and other times not so much. Additionally when the lights go out, all of the other lights still...
Just replaced my alternator for doing the same thing last weekend.
Started it that morning, went to police training, started it up again after training to jump off a police car that had a dead battery and the Gen 1 light was dim.
By the time I got home it was bright red. Replaced it with an...
Very cool.
I am about to install a ticket light out of one of my department's wrecked cars. Goes white or red. The white light is a bulb, the red are small LED's.
I need to install a work light of some kind like yours also.
Not a member of MVPA. But now that I know the name I can look it up.
I just finished up redoing the CUCV so that might be a nice vehicle to run in the parade for Veteran's Day.
I am not aware of a MV club in the Nashville area. I know several SS members are in the area.
I would love to get a duece from FTCKY but the spouse has said no for the time being.
Guess I will have to settle for the M1009 for the time being.
Can't remember the guys name but young african american guy. We did all the paperwork and then he drove his forklift over to where my trailer and genset was at, rigged up the strap, and put the genset in my trailer.
Nice professional guy. Thanks.
On top of everything, I was watching these auctions and they were selling for around $3K and I don't recall any of them listed as being able to start, even with a jump.
Somebody is about to be screwed big time both on cost and what kind of shape they really are in.
I figured that they were M101 rails when they didn't line up with the holes on the M105. They have the half-gates installed still.
Not the best picture in the world, but it should give you some idea.
