Sounds like you just need to find a 24v Vortec 350 starter, change a few battery cables around and you will be set.
Looking at the 12v and 24v circuit breakers of the driver fender, you might want to replace them and put some NO-OX on them. I need to do the same.
Do you still have the Duvac converter behind the drivers seat?I'm working on a wiring diagram for the starting and charging system. I'll send you a copy.
