I have only good things to say about the entire convention, BUT!!
Let me tell ya about the road construction on I-65 South yesterday...
It took us nearly 3.5 hours to travel about ten miles near Nashville because the 3 lane Southbound side was channeled into one lane with barrels, signs...
Yep, it was a wonderful time and I was able to get a few things I wanted.... like 8 different manuals for the DUKW, a fire extinguisher for the K-18 and some stop/tail light covers for the WC-22. We even found an original NOS set of lights for the K18-C but I just could not make myself pay...
I certainly agree and look forward to meeting JD. I had some reservations about a couple of issues and he quickly provided guidance that made me feel MUCH better and eager to get there tomorrow morning!:goodjob:
Dually is locked, cocked and ready to rock. MB gave me a haircut tonight so I won't have to wear dog tags up there.
I'm REALLY looking forward to meeting some of you fellers and having a good time. And for you folks that were at Huntsville don't worry, I have different meds now and I won't try...
OK, I just went to the Convention home page and looked under "Schedule of Events". The Convention Center opens at 08:00hrs Thursday for the exhibitions and swap meet. So we are safe.
Now you fellers are scaring ME!!
I thought the place was closed to everyone thru COB Wednesday except exibitors and vendors to set up and then Thursday thru Sunday the rest of us attending the MVPA thingy could come in??
Dammitman!!! You fellers are starting to scare me now!
Road construction, slow interstates, projected thunderstorms... guess we will leave here around 24:00hrs Wednesday instead of 04:00hrs Thursday then!!
Yep, we will have an F350 Stretch Dually empty (unless I can buy something with my looks:whistle:) heading back to Columbus, Georgia if we can help anyone. I don't want to get into long term storage of anything though.
We are taking the I-65N route up Zout, not the I-75 to I-24 route. Saves over 100 miles and less hills...which saves diesel/money. (Yes...I'm a cheap skate).:naner:
Plus...I forgot you have the truck now...LOL
