Could have also been a 923 that got a replacement transmission from a winch truck variant. Sometimes they just install what they have laying around. (Proven by LDS's dropped into Deuces, NHC-250's dropped into A2 trucks, exc.)
I'd say that's wishful thinking personally. I've got a car that I've not driven in 7+ years. I could toss a 2013 quarter in there. Wouldn't mean it was up to being used recently.
