    Thanx for the offer little bob, I found a 7/8 -14 fine thread castle nut with nylon insert at true value and it threaded onto the shaft just fine. I will try it for a while and check to see if it comes loose. The locking nylon is a nice touch. Now I just have to find the right smaller steering...

    Would anyone be able to cross NSN 5310-00-995-1833? It is the steering wheel nut on the m35a2. The part is called for in the TMs but the only desc. is hexagonal nut. But not the size it looks like a fine thread 7/8-14. I will try one after I pick it up from True Value. I found out last night...
