    It is easier to pull hub flanges, drive shafts to get you that last 400 miles then spend two days tracing an air line that could have waited till you got home. No one would have given you advice that would have put you in jeopardy, but rather try and get you back on the road.

    If all that is wrong is the transfer is engaging the front, and you have the tools, with 400 miles to go just take the 8 bolts out and put the drive shaft in the back. Even if the truck provides a little more power to the front it is so minimal that you won't notice it. If you are losing money...

    I'm with gimpy on this one. Pulling the spline cap is equal to pulling the front shaft. The transfer will be in 6x6 mode but won't low to bind because there is no resistance on the front output. It will always go the same speed as the rear. What part of Louisiana are you stuck in?
