Castle Bravo and Csm I think are on the right track. Ibis currently makes 2 different black tow bars from what i see on the website: http://www.ibistek.com/product/detail/tow_bars Also check out the attached flyer. That was part of my confusion on the bars I differ to those with more experience.

B. This SOUM applies only to the use of the IBIS TEK tow bar PN 2509-400-001. All other IBIS TEK tow bars are unauthorized and should be disposed of. Reference SOUM 06-028. The 2509-400-001 is the black one.

The tan ones were junk and totally recalled & suspended use. The black ones replaced them but were then downgraded in weight capacity. I don't think they are currently authorized; That is why they flooded GL the last 2 years. Many of them had a new weight stenciled in white on them and the data...
