    My C usually peaks at 12 or so but has gotten up to 13 a few times. That's with a LDS.

    I also like putting mine in 3rd low and letting it coast down a hill with the clutch out. The engine spools up some and the whistle is nice.

    I know a number of people on the site have said they prefer a D to a C due to not liking the shrill scream. I bet you could find someone who is willing to trade.
