Pennsylvania M35A2 owners.....A couple questions for you.

From my research and discussion with a State Police inspector, with an antique plate you are not required to stop, but to keep them from chasing you down the road, it is best to just swing through, say hello, and keep on trucking. With a regular tag, you do need to stop, and you better have...

Hmm, I've added tag lights and marker lights to mine for safety reasons, but I have an Antique plate for now. I would say I spent $70 on lights to get it up to DOT spec for a truck this size. -license plate light -front (amber) side, mid (amber) side, and rear (red) side marker lights -5 amber...

You'll have to provide a little more detail about the problem you're incurring if you want help. Can you not find a shop that will inspect the truck?

I don't think I could of got a truck at your age either though. I'm 23 so you don't have to wait very long in the grand scheme of things.

Sounds like you need everything to be in your parent's name and you listed as NOT the primary driver.

Is your dad or someone co-signed on this thing with you? That is about the only thing I could see helping you out.

Soooo, why did you mention putting things in the bed? They just told me I can't use the truck for reenactments, but I can't legally haul anything with antique PA plates.

I have no idea why you would license in NY. Costs on registration and insurance are higher. I had NO issues registering and insuring my truck and others will say the same. Someone is blowing smoke up your rear end.

You don't need a CDL but it is always a good idea to have it for the lessons in big truck driving. I don't know who else to recommend. Spend some time on the phone getting quotes. Other insurer's like Allstate might quote you a lot more with commercial registration. I just talked to a state...

Pennsylvania M35A2 owners.....A couple questions for you.

If you want to drive everyday you need normal registration which is more expensive than the antique registration that limits you to one day a week driving. Now, I have my insurance with Haggerty which is super cheap. I have one antique vehicle with the antique registration with them and one...

I have Haggerty coverage on my truck and Jeep also. Cheap! They told me my only restriction was I couldn't use my vehicles for reenactments! I filed for my antique plate for my M35A2 about a week and a half ago with some odd ball NY state paperwork. Hopefully I get that back OK.
