    I kinda think that if you provide the ABS ECU with power like it expects, it will work properly. On one hand, it seems complex to make the brakes work correctly, but maybe it is as simple as just removing all the front axle specific stuff.

    Done correctly, I don't see why it wouldn't work. There may even be a way to make the ABS work if you wanted to. I'd say the photo is an M35 pulling a trailer made from a M35.
