    Gerrykan, good point as well. Without a farm use for my HEMTT, this thing would have been difficult to tag and insure in Virginia.

    I've owned both, a couple of 5 tons, 800-series and 939-series, and currently own a HEMTT M977.I would not have purchased a HEMTT unless I had a very specific need for it, reaching difficult to access log buildings over unimproved, or at best, completely washed out "roads" and then unstacking...
