It has regular red and black batteries in it now...I was looking at goldtops at autozone, 1000cca and an 8 year warranty.

Turns out it was an alternator, now that that's replaced, neither battery will hold a charge, looks like those are next...I'm in New England so I'm wondering what batteries to use to avoid starting issues this winter.

RE: Re: RE: Battery, alternator or glow plug issue... That's a relief, I was wondering what that was, I had both batteries tested, and both are good, that leaves the glow plugs and the alternators. I found the plugs on ebay, I figure they probably need to be changed either way, I don't have any...

I've had my 1986 m1009 for a few weeks and it used to start right up in no time.Lately the "wait" light has been on for alot longer before starting, and both battery lights stay on while I'm trying to start it, it takes awhile for the engine to catch and start up. I'm wondering if one or both...
