Great show! The convoy was awesome, definitely doing it again next year. Great to see everyone and put some faces to names, we should get together locally soon.
Here are the pics, a lot of people were asking about my camping setup in the back of the Deuce so there are a few shots of that...
Supplies packed, just need to buy some groceries and wash the truck.
Epping Mcdonalds is the NH meeting point, I will have the time schedule by tomorrow.
A tentative NH rendezvous point has been picked, Seabrook rest area Northbound just over the NH border. estimated meeting time will be between 10:00 and 11:00 Friday morning. PM me for details and route on the NH end. Contact Vintage iron to link up along the MA route.
Just found out a convoy of six heavies will be coming up from MA on Friday morning, an M916, M977, M983 two M923A1s and another Deuce. Trying to coordinate a rendezvous. Anyone who will be joining the convoy PM me from now on so we can start coordinating.
I have an Idea, let's make the rally point the Portsmouth traffic circle. We can use the liquor store parking lot as a staging area, it is right off of 95 so anyone coming from Maine or Eastern MA can meet us there. Then we can just take route 4 to 202 and straight into Concord.
Route 4 and 202 would be a great convoy route. Speed limit doesn't exceed 55 until you get into Concord. It's a nice leisurely and scenic route with plenty of places to stop for breakfast and no shortage of public attention. I'm thinking you guys could do 95 N through Hampton to 101 like...
If you take 101 to Epping and take 125 up to Lee you can rendezvous with me at the traffic circle and we can pick up mbfod in Northwood. If the timing is right we can catch the 93 north boys in the Bow/Concord area.
I am going up either Thursday night or Friday morning. Normally I take route 4 to 202 so I can link up with anyone coming from the Seacoast, Portsmouth, Dover, Rochester, Barrington, Epping or Southern Maine areas.
If you are thinking of camping book it soon, I was on MVMVC page yesterday, spots are filling up fast! I may have some extra space in the back of my Deuce if you need a last minute place to crash.
So excited for this year, hoping to head up Thursday night.
If anyone within driving distance has not been I highly recommend this rally, even if you don't show up in an MV. As always I'm willing to convoy with anyone coming from Southeast NH or all points due East of Weare.
Looking forward to...
