    Try jumping the power from the battery to the solenoid on the starter with a piece of wire. If it engages, its the circuits in the generator starter control. If it does not, its the starter or solenoid. Just make sure you have power at the battery connection on the starter with a volt meter.

    Are you sure the motor is not froze up ? I had a starter click had but not turn, the engine was locked up due to a bad bearing.
