    Originally the truck would be set up for a 24 volt alternator putting out around 28 volts and 60 amps on a test stand.

    Starter motor will tell the OP as well as the battery wiring. In series would indicate 24V, parallel would indicate 12V. Many of the M818 trucks went on the market years ago and have been through some changes. I say if it is putting out 140 amps at 14V, the truck probably does not have...
